So the story starts out safe enough. Scott moved. Took the lovely Capresso from the office with him. No more latte. Or so I thought. =)
Steve announced that I should order a Tassimo for the office. Seemed like a good idea. But in truth. EVIL.
The cappuccino’s are very tasty … and not decaf as it would turn out. Sigh.
Did I mention Tassimo equals Evil?

And just giggled … so I’m posting it here:
I have a morning ritual that I need to share. I call it ‘the terminator’. First I crouch down in the shower in the classic ‘naked terminator traveling through time’ pose. With my eyes closed I crouch there for a minute, visualizing either Arnold or the guy from the second movie (not the chick in the third one because that one sucked) and I start to hum the terminator theme. Then I slowly rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me to proceed through my day as an emotionless, cyborg badass. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It ruins the fantasy.

I just have to say that I’m truly loving our new space. Today’s Reason?
The building was able to put a shower in our new suite. This means that I have a bunch of options on commuting to work.
While my bike was unavailable, I spent a few days walking / running into the office. It is a nice 3 mile jaunt each way. Someday I will be able to actually run the whole thing like a gazelle. Right now I am more of a cow hoofing it. But every trip seems a little better.
Last night I got my bike back from the shop (thank you Boehm’s) and was able to bike in today. Since the commute is way shorter than our downtown ride, I have expanded it a little and added in the Edgecumbe/Fairview hill to get my heart rate up a bit. It was a nice 8 1/2 mile ride mostly on bike routes.
Oh … and lest I forget. The building management at Hamline Park Plaza have also provided us a secure place to store our bikes during the work day.
This is just a rockin office.

Well, it looks like we are going to have a rain-free day. Woohoo. It seems like it is has rained every day for weeks.
We have been biking quite a bit. I’m commuting to work on my bike several days a week and even getting a bit faster. I’ve finally been averaging over 14 mph for the commute to work (slightly more downhill than up - only one real hill) and approaching 13 mph for the ride home (2 hillls).
Bill even has me commuting to work in the rain now. Nothing like a nice morning ride in the rain and grit to get the day going right.
Bill and I are starting to train for the Weekend on Wheels in August. I think it will be my first 100 mile day. Oh pleez oh pleez oh pleez. That will be another milestone in my biking career. So far I have a max of 64.5 miles in one day.

I was just thinking of all the restaurants we have frequented and then have watched die. I assume this is the “Scott kills the restaurant” effect but I was hoping to document it.
Here is the list that I can think of:
Chez Bananas (wherefore art thou Joe?)
Caravan Serai (Nancy?)
Nikki’s (Hola Nikki?)
Loring Cafe (in fact all the Loring stuff)
Shelly’s Woodroast
Sherlock’s Home

Ok, so one day THREE YEARS AGO, Michele peals most of the wall paper off of the walls of the kitchen breakfast nook. To replace it you know. Well finally in a momemt of weakness I mentioned to Young William that I would be willing to help “finish” this little project if they knew what they wanted.
A week later, every surface in the kitchen, excepting the tile and the counter tops has been re-painted. It looks beauuuuu-ti-ful! (like ME!)
